Hot, quick, and simple hairstyles for long, straight hair?

I have the most boring hair. Its relatively long (landing 3 inches below the shoulder) and dead straight. I don't have bangs, but I do have long, layers (they are not very noticeable though). It absolutely won't curl even with a curling iron. I like my hair, but it often is in a pony-tail because I don't know what to do with it. Sometimes, when I'm feeling spontaneous, I blow dry it ... which essentially does nothing but make it frizzy.

So, any tips for a quick, hot hair style I can quickly put together before school? I'm not looking for anything extreme, but something simple and flattering.

layers it. the shortest layer should be above your shoulder. that will look really nice. you should try curling it sometimes.

TIPS:

revlon makes great products for long straight hair (believe me, my hair is pin straight, flat, and to my waist). Before you blow dry, buy the revlon hot sets spray- which helps with the extra frizz.

while you dry your hair, take a brush with the air vents built in and slowly brush while drying.

afterwards, spray in an instant freeze hairspray while brushing your roots away from your face. you have layers so while you are doing this, your layers will flip out while giving volume to your hair. Try this! it works for me :)

- part your hair to the side.

- with straightener, curl/sway hair inwards toward neck and face.

once you get out of the shower, put moose in your hair and scrunch it. it will make it a little wavy if you use a strong moose (curl defying moose) it will work trust me! well thats always cute!! but i cant do it cause my hair is really poofy so i have to straighten it every day!! :)

Try a simple messy bun (doesnt take long), half pony tail, a cute headband would jazz it up, everyones hair looks good with a side part Even if you dont want a curling iron, you could scrunch your hair or sleep in braids or a messy bun with wet hair and it will curl. So simple. Try a low pony tail with a middle part and pull the hair to one side.(called a sedu) Pigtails are always cute.
