The best places I've found are magazines. Take a look through InStyle, Essence, any fitness magazine. I think that hair styles in hair books just don't work for everyday. Find a celebrity style you like, make a file of a few and discuss with your hairdresser. I like the women's styles on Girlfriends. They are always going through variations of a theme with their hair. Just make sure you and your stylist are together on a look and what your lifestyle demands are before you begin.

I went in for a professional look (slick, pulled together/interview esq) and walked out with a pole swinging look. Thank God for hair brush, gel and grosgrain ribbon.
