alright. so i usually straighten my hair %26amp; it looks wicked pretty. but its starting to get damaged so i want to stop wearing it down [ as often ]. its pretty thick, soft, and [ without straightening ] kind of wavy. its veryy long; below my shoulderblades. any ideas that would NOT require damaging my hair- like heat treatments? %26amp; i dont want it wear it totally down, cause then i'd have to straighten it, %26amp; i dotn want to do that. lol im a teen btw

try scrunching it..that looks really pretty with long hair. It also doesnt take that long. And if you want it straight try blowdrying it (on cool if you dont like heat which they sell) with a flat brush. It makes it a lot straighter. Good luck!

I've got the same thing going on, and what I do is just pull it back into a small, not tight scrunchie after showering. It won't be too frizzy, but it will have a natural curl to it, and it won't be in the way of too much.

I would buy Aussie's deep conditioner. It's cheap. Sleep with it in your hair a night or two out of the week to help regain some strength in your hair. I would also buy a better shampoo and conditioner.

My best advice is for you to cut your hair, new hair cant be damaged right! They say you should trim it every three months but i say just trim it when you notice the bottom is getting thin, since new hair grows from the top, pretty soon all of your hair will be a pretty new head of hair. Also i would use shampoo that is damage repairing, i dont know any by name but there are a lot. Then get your hair used to things, like get it used to a certain shampoo, or curling it or if you want a way to curl your hair without so much damage, braid it, hair are like people, you have to train it to get a physical change. If its lazy it just sits there. I have thick wavy hair but its very controlled, buy shampoo that deals with curly or wavy hair too not just repairing, i like using loreal paris, it works for me it might work for you. Also when you style your hair also use products meant for curly hair, like dove has this mousse for curly hair, it always works for me.

okay this is what u do

if u re tenderheaded den u pt ur hair into a "poof" ponytail u kno whee there is a poof in the front and then u put it in a ponytail braid ne braid and den mak a bun wiff the braid same way u would make a normal bun

but if u arent tenderheaded den u can have all of ur hair cornbraied to the bottom left or right side of ur head (if u dont kno at im talking about let me kno) and den leave some of parts of the ends oout and den wrap a BEAD or a SCRUNCHIE around it. noting else. im talking about the srunchies that look like intestines, not the puffy ones thats perfectly round or the skinny ones but the other nes that looks like intestines, it goes perfectly
